Accountant Lam Tsi-ming loves children but his wife suffers a miscarriage after a car accident. His neighbour Lau Man-kit is laid off but his wife becomes pregnant at this difficult time; a minor staff Ah Chuen is unable to support his children. Lam adopts a baby girl, unaware that it is Ah Chuen's flesh and blood. Ah Chuen's wife feels at ease now that their daughter is in the good hands of the loving couple.
