Jeet Kune Do (截拳道) is a hybrid martial arts philosophy founded by Bruce Lee in 1967. The name translates to 'Way of the Intercepting Fist.' It is not a fixed style but a philosophy of absorbing what is useful from various martial arts disciplines and discarding what is useless. Bruce Lee's famous quote 'Be water, my friend' comes from an interview on the Pierre Berton Show in 1971. The full quote is: 'Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water.
